There’s a lot going on. 😵💫With the nonstop news alerts and rapidly shifting political reality, it can seem near impossible to take a step back and assess the moment we’re in and what it is calling on us to do to care for ourselves and each other.
At Ruido, we’d like to invite you to our next monthly learning session to pause and reflect with local activists and historians. Join us for our panel titled “Trump, Texas, and the Border Narrative” happening on 3/6 at 6:30 PM at Cactus Valley Art in Harlingen.

As Donald Trump enters his second term and the Texas legislative session is in full swing, the Rio Grande Valley will be a key region for politics, power, and resistance. The development of SpaceX, the militarization of the border, and growing economic and cultural anxieties— What does it all mean for the popular narrative of the region? What’s at stake for border residents, and what are local leaders doing about it?
Join us next week on March 6 for our conversation with community organizers and historians to hear their take on what this all means for the border narrative. This event is free for Ruido Studios members. We kindly ask for a $5 donation from non-members to support our programming.
